In this refinery, the main crude oil processing and complementary load plants are: Topping y Vacío I, Topping y Vacío II, Visbreaking, Catalytic Cracking, Continuous Catalytic Reformation, Ethylene, Diesel Hydrotreatment 1, Diesel Hydrotreatment 2, Cracking Gasoline Desulfurizer (HDG), Hydrocracking, Benzene Saturation, Isomerization, Propylene Separator and Purifier, CHT Hydrogen Plant, Coker and Diesel Hydrotreatment (HDT), Cogenerator, BioBío Hydrogen Plant and Mild Hydrocracking Gas Oil (MHC) Plant.
There are also Merox treatment plants for kerosene, gasoline, and liquified gas, Sulfur Recovery Units #1 and #2, Gas Treatment, Acidic Water Treatment, Oily Water Treatment, cooling water, steam, and electrical energy supply facilities, tanks for storing crude oil, intermediate, and final products.
Other industrial facilities include pipelines to transport finished products from the refinery to the city of San Fernando, which connects to the Sonacol pipeline (section between San Fernando and Maipú), and pumping stations at the BioBío Refinery, Chillán, and Molina. There are pipelines from the refinery to the San Vicente marine terminal for the transport of crude oil and finished products. The San Vicente marine terminal features a new gangway-type dock and internal pipelines from tank areas to processing plants and from these plants to intermediate and final product tanks. There is also a gas pipeline for receiving and delivering liquified gas, pumps to send products from the refinery to San Fernando and San Vicente, pumps in San Vicente for shipping products by sea and receiving imported crude oil by the same maritime route, a chemical laboratory, facilities and barracks for the Emergency Response Brigade, which operates with volunteer plant workers, specialized workshops for maintenance and repairs of all plants, emergency electrical equipment powered by diesel and natural gas, and a natural gas interconnection system for use as fuel in boilers and furnaces (steam generation).
