Refining and Commercialization (R&C)

The Refining and Commercialization Management is responsible for developing the activities related to the production and commercialization of fuels and other petroleum products (solvents, bases for the manufacture of asphalts, ethylene and other petrochemical products), with the commercialization of liquified natural gas, in addition to managing the logistics infrastructure for their transport and storage.


The following report to this Department: (1) the subsidiary Enap Refinerías S.A., whose main assets are the Aconcagua Refinery and BioBío Refinery (located in the Valparaíso Region and the Biobío Region, respectively); (2) the Sales and Supply Management; the Logistics Management; (3) the Optimization Management; (4) the Operations Management; (5) the refining, logistics and commercialization activities associated with the exploitation of the refining assets (Gregorio Refinery and Cape Negro separation plant) and maritime terminals (Gregorio and Cape Negro).


This Department is also responsible for the marketing of crude oil and products derived from petroleum and natural gas, and the supply of crude oil and natural gas for the Aconcagua, BioBío and Gregorio refineries.
The main focus of the marketing of products derived from oil and natural gas is the national market, an activity that it carries out with its own production and with purchases from third parties. To this end, it manages logistical resources in order to optimize transport costs, both import and export, and cabotage within the country.
