The state-owned company won the Green H2 Innovative Company category at the Renmad Chile conference, as well as the Environmental – Energy and Climate Change category in the Corporate Sustainability Ranking prepared by the Universidad Adolfo Ibáñez Business School and the consulting firm Brinca.
Enap was recognized for developing landmark initiatives as part of the energy transition: the green hydrogen (H2v) plant it will install in Magallanes, and the Enap Renewable Diesel production launched in January of this year.
The first recognition came from Renmad Chile, a renewable energy conference held on July 30 and 31, which brought together more than 200 executives and 50 energy sector experts to discuss industry trends, share knowledge, and foster collaboration in the development of renewable energy in the country.
The event celebrated the most relevant projects in the industry over the past year. Enap won first place in the Green H2 Innovative Company category for the plant it will install in the Cabo Negro industrial complex, which was voted the most outstanding.
The second award, presented on August 6, corresponds to the Corporate Sustainability Ranking, prepared for the third year by the Adolfo Ibáñez University (UAI) Business School and consulting firm Brinca. Enap Renewable Diesel won first place in the Environmental – Energy and Climate Change category, for being an initiative that integrates sustainability into the core of the business and has a positive impact on social, economic, and environmental development.
Representing the state-owned company, Board Chair Gloria Maldonado attended along with Corporate Manager of Development and Strategic Planning, Nicolás Correa; Corporate Affairs Manager, Andrea Aranda; and New Business Development Manager, Juris Agüero.
“As Chair of Enap’s Board, I deeply value these recognitions, which reinforce the course we have set with our Enap 2040 Strategic Plan. The energy of tomorrow is built today—with vision, innovation, and responsibility. Advancing in the production of low-carbon fuels and in the development of enabling infrastructure for green hydrogen is not only a technological commitment: it is our pledge to decarbonization and the future well-being of the country. These achievements reflect an Enap that is transforming, to lead the energy transition with conviction. We are honored and highly motivated to continue deepening this path,” said Maldonado.
