The state-owned company has launched this training initiative, which includes both theoretical and practical experience across various departments.
Enap has launched its Trainee Program, offering training and employment opportunities for new talent, aimed at developing the human capital that will lead the company into the future.
This program is part of the strategic pillar known as the "Comprehensive Worker" and is one of the 20 foundational initiatives promoted by Enap to strengthen its organizational culture and progress toward a more inclusive, diverse, and energy-transition-ready company.
The goal of the Enap Trainee Program is to recruit and develop young, diverse, and high-potential talent with academic excellence who can grow professionally within the company’s operations, particularly in its business units located in Concón, Santiago, Hualpén, and Magallanes.
“The Enap Trainee Program offers competitive compensation and benefits, personalized mentorship, and the opportunity to be part of strategic projects in a company that provides the energy that powers Chile every day. This allows each participant to gain a comprehensive understanding of the business,” explained Andrés León, Enap’s Corporate HR Manager.
Application Process
Applications opened on Wednesday, June 11, and are open to recent graduates in Civil, Industrial, Chemical, Mechanical, Electrical, or Electronic Engineering, who value attributes like leadership, public service vocation, and commitment to sustainability. Applicants must have no more than one year of professional experience.
The application period will remain open for two weeks, until Wednesday, June 25, and selected candidates are expected to join the company during July or August.
Once onboard, trainees will be supported by a line manager as their sponsor, along with a team of trained mentors and tutors to guide their professional development.
“The program includes structured induction phases, internal and external training, continuous feedback, and performance evaluations. Once completed, trainees will be eligible to apply for or be appointed to positions within the company,” León added.
He emphasized that: “This program is a highly attractive and exciting opportunity. We want to help prepare the next generation to take on leadership roles in the energy industry. In 2025, as Enap celebrates 80 years since the discovery of oil, we are at a pivotal moment, planning Chile’s energy future.”
