Enap Finalized the Sale of its Subsidiary Sipetrol in Argentina

Today, the company completed the handover to the new owner, finalizing the transaction that was announced in January of this year.

Enap officially closed the sale of its subsidiary Sipetrol in Argentina today, thereby completing the transaction announced in January when the corresponding Sale and Purchase Agreement (SPA) was signed. This move is part of a broader strategy aimed at strengthening the company's financial sustainability.

At the beginning of 2025, Enap announced the sale of these assets to the company Oblitus, controlled by Xtellus Partners, a New York-based financial group specializing in asset management.

The transaction, valued at USD 41.4 million, went through various procedures, adjustments, and contractual conditions, including obtaining the required approvals from Chilean authorities.

As Enap explained in January, this decision involved the analysis of various financial factors, such as optimizing its portfolio and focusing resources on business areas identified as strategic for the coming years.

Enap will continue to maintain significant commercial ties with Argentina through its participation in the OTA-OTC Trans-Andean Pipeline, in Gasoductos del Pacífico Argentina, and through the purchase of crude oil from the Vaca Muerta oil field in the Neuquén Province for its refineries in Chile.
