The Quintero Maritime Terminal, located in the bay of the same name, Valparaíso Region, is the most important oil terminal in the country and plays a fundamental role in the company's operations. It was built in 1954 with the purpose of receiving, loading, storing, and preparing products, such as gasoline, diesel, kerosene, liquefied gas (LPG), and crude oil, the latter as raw material for all previous products.
The Terminal receives all the crude oil that is acquired in different markets around the world and that is processed at the Aconcagua Refinery in the municipality of Concón. Monthly, it receives and delivers more than 700 thousand m3 of products and crude oil, both to the refinery and to neighboring ships and companies.
To efficiently meet these goals, the terminal has a modern logistics storage infrastructure (tanks), which allows it to store crude oil and petroleum products.
It has four maritime terminals or mooring sites for the attention of ships, and modern operation and control systems, which are added to a system of pipelines that connect it to the refinery and allow the terminal to transfer crude oil and products.
