Regarding objective respect to the management of risk prevention and reliability of the installations, the Department of Storage and Oil Pipelines (DAO) recognized the distinguished work of the Joint Hygiene and Safety Committees of the Maipú, San Fernando and Linares plants.

At a simple but emotive ceremony at the San Fernando plant, the DAO gave a diploma and a gift to the members of the different Joint Hygiene and Safety Committees, considering that no accidents with time lost have occurred in the last two years.

The manager of optimization and logistics of the R&L Division, Daniel Ramírez, especially praised the work of these organizations and said that “it is not normal for so delicate an area as this to have no accidents in two years. This is clearly a very important event because safety is among the aims of ENAP’s strategic plan. We are showing that we can meet targets in a safe environment. I congratulate you sincerely because I see a very responsible attitude for doing things well”.

The head of DAO, Juan Villarroel, added that “thanks to the work of the joint committees, competitive costs and a safe operation have been achieved. The optimization and logistics management has therefore wished to recognize your daily work”.

“We have a risk-prevention culture in DOA”

On behalf of the San Fernando Joint Hygiene and Safety Committee, its president, Wilfredo Peña, said that “here we work in preventing risks not only inside the plant but also with the neighbors, firemen and the different local schools. I wish to stress the constant support of our managers and executives, which motivates us to continue working very hard in this area”.

On behalf of the Linares committee, its head Javier Jiménez said that “we have a risk-prevention culture in the DAO. People and their health are the most important. This Department, although small within ENAP, is doing great things”.

Those receiving awards were Wilfredo Peña, Carlos Navarro, Javier Urzúa, Víctor Ramos, Rodrigo Cáceres and Héctor Hermosilla (San Fernando), Jocelyn Urzúa, Luis Jorquera, Raúl Celis, René Miranda, Juan Villarroel and Claudio Véliz (Maipú), and Javier Jiménez, Jorge Ibáñez, Julio Asiain, Fernando Roca, Wilfrido Rodríguez and Jorge Vergara (Linares).
