Operational Excellence

Oil Refining Plants are subject to extremely demanding safety and environmental regulations. For this reason, it is necessary that operations are enviornamentally sustainable, thus guaranteeing the integrity and safety of its facilities, to protect their employees and the community health, avoiding to compromise the inhabitants health and assets in the event of alterations in the processes.

In order to comply with the above, the Refining Plants must operate under an “Operational Excellence” concept, which is a continuous improvement process that involves systems, people and the application of best practices, that when properly performed results into a safe, reliable, efficient and environmentally sustainable operation.

The key to success is to implement a standardized system and process throughout the Company, aimed to rationalize the working processes and their applications, with the purpose of becoming an organization that satisfies the expectations and requirements of its clients, at a work site without accidents, which decreases environmental impact and health hazards, operates free of incidents, leveraging assets reliability programs, and maximizes the use of assets and resources.
