Quality Policy and Management

ENAP R&L Line of Business Divisions and Units operate under quality, environmental, safety and occupational health management systems with the purpose of satisfying the expectations and requirements agreed with their clients, to ensure the environment protection and the sustainable development of their operations, with the purpose of carrying out their activities preventing the hazards and taking care of people’s health.

The above are the principles that have led the activities of the four Units that are a part of this line of business (Aconcagua Refining Plant, Bío Bío Refining Plant, Storage and Oil Pipelines Department (DAO) and Magallanes Refining and Logistics) to obtain quality management certification ISO 9001: 2000, between 1998 and 2006. These Units are also currently working on the gradual certification of their processes under environmental management Standard ISO 14001: 2004 since 2008, and they are also implementing safety and occupational health systems together with Asociación Chilena de Seguridad (AChS).

Such management systems are under an integrated implementation.

Quality Policy and Management
Clients’ satisfaction is a part of the company’s mission and it is the relevant element of its Quality Policy. This is how ENAP intends to strengthen its long term trust relationships with its clients, based on service excellence, relationship transparence and the search for mutual benefit.

Since 2004 the R&L Line of Business, together with the Commercial Division, measures the clients’ satisfaction through a survey. After processing its results, action plans are prepared at the different Divisions and Units, with the purpose of starting continuous improvement actions for the de processes.
