ENAP and its subsidiaries have been systematically increasing their investments in business development in the areas of hydrocarbon exploration and production, and of its refining and associated logistics, both in Chile and abroad.

From its own resources, the company made investments of over US$ 2,600 million in the period 2000-2010, directed to three basic objectives: 1) exploration of new oil and natural gas fields in Chile and abroad, 2) expansion of its refining capacity, and 3) improving the quality of the products (fuels) and industrial processes to reduce their environmental impact.

In 2010 alone, investments amounted to US$ 320.4 million. Of this, US$ 158 million was carried out by the E&P Division and the remaining US$ 162.4 million by the Refining Division.
